Key Responsibilities:
• Ethernet Switching and Routing protocols in Layer 2 and Layer 3.
• C programming and Data Structures.
• Experience in Broadcom or Marvell switching controller and CPU platforms.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Programming Advanced features of C.
• Must have experience in the development or integration of at least on eprotocol-RIP, OSPF, ISIS and BGP.
• Working knowledge on MPLS is a plus.
• Should have worked in a multi- threaded environment and be comfortable using debuggers in real time environment.
• Working knowledge of management plane, CLI, WEB, SNMP.
• Experience in design and development of networking software features and/or device driver under embedded Linux Environment, and with exposure to SDLC methodology and tools.
• Well disciplined in software development process with the ability to write design specs and coding.
Proficiency in programming in C/C++, gcc, Makefile, shell scripting and version control (svn).
• Comprehensive working experience in networking technologies at Layer-2 (e.g.: IEEE 802.3 Ethernet switching, 802.1D bridging, 802.1Q VLAN and protocols like IPv6,LACP,STP,IGMP etc) and Layer-3 (e.g.: forwarding and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, MSDP etc).
• Familiar with testing tools, Project Management tools and Quality Processes is a plus.
• 1-6 years hands-on experience on software project development in a network company environment with demonstrated experience in Switch networking protocols.
